LAY EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS
Contacts: Gay Borchert and Fr. Bob Andrew

As is the case in all parishes, there are many at Christ Church who for some reason or another cannot make it to one of our services of Holy Communion. As Anglicans we believe that it is important for Christians to receive both the word and sacrament of Jesus Christ. The role of the Lay Eucharistic Minister in the Anglican Church is to administer home communion to the sick and housebound. Their service is an extension of the Sunday morning service and so they bring bread and wine that has been consecrated by a priest as well as the Scripture texts  to those who otherwise would not be able to receive them.
