Communion

Holy Communion has always been central to the Church.
There is nothing more holy or more of a foretaste of God’s Kingdom than when we, as His chosen people, gather around the table and receive Him together in this act.  We remember His sacrifice and we feel His presence within our selves in receiving the bread and the wine.  At Christ Church Westshore we see the Communion altar not as our own, but as the Lord’s table.  If you have been baptized and accepted Jesus as Lord of your life, you are invited to join with us at the table.

HOLY COMMUNION CLASS

Christians decide to make their first communion or their children’s first communion at different times in their life. Some belief that children as young as infants can receive. Others prefer to wait until their child is able to understand more (3rd grade or around age 9). There is longstanding tradition behind both. The one requirement to receive Holy Communion or to take this class is that one must be baptized and have professed Jesus to be Lord. If you are interested in taking the class please talk to one of the clergy.
